On Saturday I was therefore one of the many tourists in the beautiful city of Cologne. And what do tourists so? Exactly! Take pictures, look at everything and eat local food! So I took my camera and explore the city.

To learn the cooking culture of Cologne know better, I went first of all the organic market at the Rudolf Place. In the market I have smiled striped eggplant and fresh beets - I had for two months, the fear that the good stuff to be extinct. After Ökofood I went for a walk on the middle road to Neumarkt. Almost at the Apostles Convent, I then saw a very attractive Italian restaurant Olivia Culinaria Italia. Since couple years, I cherish the thought of going to the fish market in the dance well. Now it was time - I took my camera and I went the direction of Deutz. At the fish market, I have not found any fresh fish, but other desires - walnut oil, pumpkin seed oil, honey and chili peppers, Formaggio ubriaco (drunken cheese), and much, much more. I have long been nothing more reasonable, posted here but I have such wonderful recipes for you. Because of that I'm lazy by nature, I am publishing today, only a prescription.
Despite the fact that dough is generally not my thing, I managed to prepare an excellent quiche. The history of this great cake, you can read here . I ask you to widerrum, in my view, combining the best ingredients. At IKEA, I bought 4 small pie shapes à 15 cm in diameter. If you want to make the quiche in a great shape, make it twice the amount of ingredients.

So, let's start time.

Serves 4 small pie shapes:

100 g flour 50 g butter 30 g

milk ¼ teaspoon salt 100 g diced bacon


2 onions 1 stalk leek
150 g cream 200 g milk


3 eggs 100 g grated cheese

Preparation:

Big Kahuna Burger

couple of weeks ago there's me at our monthly meal together. This time I served tomato soup after the Big Kahuna Burger. Brief information about the burger: the Big Kahuna Burger is from the movie "Pulp Fiction" known. Samuel L. Jackson bites purely in the burger and says: Mmhmmh, this is a tasty burger! :-) That's it. At this point I give Mr. Jackson right - the burger is very tasty. Really had the look her very quickly. I Jakob quote: "Be quick before another satiety is there and I could not eat."

Ingredients for 8 burgers (4):
1 kg minced beef
3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
8 slices pineapple
8 slices of cheese
8 hamburger buns
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup tomato ketchup

This recipe I have copied a recently with Jamie Oliver. He used the homemade sausage. My attempt with the Sausage from the supermarket has failed - it was too much fennel seeds indoors and I do not like. Therefore, I used ground beef. I have it on the fly, square shaped balls and thrown into the pan. For this recipe I will say no more, except that it is very tasty and easy.

Ingredients for 2 people: 250 g. spaghetti

150g cherry tomatoes 250g minced

1 can of tomato pizza
1 tablespoon tomato paste
fresh basil leaves 1 clove garlic

balsamic vinegar

Preparation:
Spaghetti al dente, drain and drizzle with olive oil.

First of all the news - I returned to Cologne. After nearly 13 years in Germany I can say for sure - I love this city! I would not now say that I would move anywhere else, there are still so many things I have not seen and experienced.
Furthermore, I am drawn to the city. All the driving around I've saved it. I live just 6 minutes away from work and can stay out longer, even though I'm not the type for it. I also have
leaves a huge kitchen where it is so much delicious cooking.
